Description
Drawing, and later painting, has always played an important part in my life. To develop my skills, I attended paint- and art classes for several years at the Gemeentelijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten te Arendonk in Belgium.
Although born and bred in the city, I feel more at ease in a natural environment. This is reflected in all my paintings. When at home, I am also inspired and fascinated by seemingly ordinary objects visible in my series: “Close by”.
Animals are also regular guests in my paintings. Beside the birds in my garden, pigs have a special place in my heart. This is visible in my series of pigs: “Porktraits”.
